Hi! I’m Angie West. I am a two-time cancer survivor.
I was diagnosed with a rare T-cell lymphoma in 2021 and underwent stem cell transplants in 2022 and again in 2025. My most recent transplant was an allogeneic transplant from an 18-year-old donor from Germany.
During this journey from illness to recovery, I discovered art through the Northside Hospital Cancer Support Community, which offers both virtual and in-person classes.
In those early classes, I was introduced to SoulCollage®, an intuitive collage practice using images for self-discovery and inner reflection. It became a meaningful part of my healing. Over time, my work has evolved, and I now create more freely as a collage artist—sometimes with meaning, and sometimes simply for the sake of creating.
I am more than a cancer survivor. I am married and live in Roswell, GA, with my husband and our sweet rescue pup, Lucy. I have two grown children who also live in Atlanta.
I practiced as a physical therapist for over 30 years, and if it weren’t for my illness, I would still be working.
Through this art and self-care blog, I share my experiences of growth and perseverance through illness and recovery, along with my artwork and occasional stories from my career.
I hope you’ll follow along as I continue this journey. Angie
