About.

Hi! I’m Angie West. I am a two-time cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with a rare T-cell lymphoma in 2021 and underwent my first stem-cell transplant in 2022. I was in remission until October 2024. I knew this was coming. I knew that the initial transplant was more of a treatment than a cure.

In May of 2025, I underwent an allogeneic stem cell transplant. An unidentified young male, age 18, from Germany was my donor.

During this journey of illness to wellness, I discovered art. The Northside Hospital Cancer Support Community. They offer over 100 virtual and in-person classes, including art classes.

In my first classes, I learned about Soul Collage. I grew and healed from the inside out, practicing SoulCollage. Now I make similar collages. Some have a meaning, and some don’t.

I am more than a “cancer survivor.” I am married and live in Roswell, GA, with my husband and sweet rescue pup, Lucy. I have two grown kids who live in Atlanta. I practiced as a physical therapist for over 31 years. If it weren’t for my illness, I would still be working.

In this art blog, I will share my experiences of growth and perseverance through illness and recovery. I’ll share my artwork and also include some stories from my career years.
