Serendipitous Collage

03/17/2025

Hi. I was meeting with my therapist today. We were discussing how the initial diagnosis of cancer was a pivot point in my life. I started learning more about myself and also started working on my self-worth. I started doing things for myself, not just out of habit.

As a wife and mom, I think it’s easy to get into a routine, like cooking 4-5 nights a week, because it’s expected. Or to handle all of the kids’ activities and problems. We, as women, are conditioned to do this. Or, at least I was.

I have come so far. During this initial pivot point, I discovered art. I’ve really grown personally over the past year, from February 2024 to now, March 2025. With my second cancer diagnosis, I have really found my voice both literally–not so conditioned anymore😃 and figuratively with my art. I started this website and built it from the ground up. The website and my art are something completely all my own. I am so proud of myself.

Collage Makers Summit 2025

I joined a class that is called the Collage Makers Summit. Every day for 2 weeks, we learn a new lesson and technique. Here is an example of the “pre-lesson” from last week.

To see more, go to my gallery, Collage Makers Summit 2025. I’ll add more images as I complete the class. Until then, I’ve got to get to work on the next lesson… Angie
